જવાનીમાં એને માટે માતમ થવો જોઇએ—શેખાદમ આબુવાલા
(મારી ડાયરી.બુધવાર 2 એપ્રીલ 1952)
લાંબા સમય સુધી ડાયરી ન લખી શક્યો.હજી મારે કેટકેટલું સંભારવાનું છે.યાદ કરવાનું છે અને ડાયરીમાં નોંધવાનું છે
આજે સવારે હું મુંબઈથી આવ્યો.ગઈ રજબની સાતમીએ(ઈસ્લામી મહિનો)મારી સાલગિરહ(જન્મદિન) હતી.બાવીસ વરસ પૂરાં થયાં.ત્રેવીસમું બેઠું ! જવાનીનું એક વરસ ઓછું થયું.જવાનીમાં આવતી વર્ષગંઠો મને અત્યંત દુ:ખદાયક લાગે છે.
મને એ વર્ષગાંઠો સર્પની જેમ ડંખે છે.ગઈકાલે મને દુ:ખ થયું હતું કે જવાનીના રંગીન અને મસ્ત એવા કાળમાંએક વરસ ઓછું થઈ ગયું! વૃધ્ધાવસ્થામાં વર્ષગાંઠ એ ખૂશીની વસ્તુ હોવી જોઇએ! પરંતુ જવાનીમાં એને માટે માતમ થવો જોઇએ.
ગઈ કાલે હું અમદાવાદ આવવાનો હતો ,પરંતુ 31માર્ચને દિવસે મુંબઈમાં એક ડિનર રાખવામાં આવ્યું હતું.મને અમીરી અને બીજા મિત્રોએ જીદ કરીને મુંબઈમાં રોકયો હતો.રોકાવાની જરી સરખી પણ ઈચ્છા નહોતી.પરંતુ મજબૂરીને લીધે રોકાઈ જવું પડયું.મેં ટિકિટના પૈસા અમીરીને આપી દીધા હતા,અને એણે મને એનાજ સહારા પર રોકી લીધો.રાત્રે ડિનરમાં મારા મિત્ર જ.અલી મહેમદ ‘નાઝ’ને માનપત્ર આપવામં આવ્યું હતું.

I am Keereet R Acharrya I was associated with Sheikh saheb when I recorded a few Hindi Ghazals and four songs for a film I Directed unfortunately the film was not released for some reason It is heard now it is to be released of which there are two songs will be appreciated1.
